Ajinomoto Markets Salmon Pasta Through Collaboration

March 5, 2009

Ajinomoto developed "Knorr Soup: Salmon Pasta" through collaboration with a popular fashion event, "Tokyo Girl's Collection (TGC)"; a limited supply of the new product will be marketed starting on April 27. The product uses short spiral pasta of 100 percent durum semolina; and soup with vegetables and milk, which is dense, rich creamy soup with the flavor of salmon dissolved in it, will be mixed with the pasta.

Salmon was cut in flakes and to accentuate the flavor black pepper was used. It takes only three mixtures to prepare after pouring hot water in a cup. One serving contains 40.8g.

The TGC is a semiannual fashion event, popular among females in their 20's. Every event attracts more than 20,000 visitors. Knorr Foods launched a product development project from September 2007; the company develops and proposes a new product of soup pasta at every event, never failing to maintain the top level sales within the brand.

The new product will be announced at the fashion event on March 7. Free samples will be disseminated in the company's original mobile kitchen car as well as at its booth in the event hall.
