Hohsui to Construct Distribution Center in Chiba

April 4, 2013

Tsukiji-based company Hohsui (President Masaaki Takahashi) has decided to construct a distribution center for distributive processing and shipping adjacent to a cold warehouse currently under-construction, the Ichikawa Butsuryu Center in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture. The construction is slated to commence in April 2013 and complete in February 2014.

The Company expects this new building to shore up the group’s retail support business, exert a synergetic effect in relation to its cold warehouse operations, and upsize overall businesses.

The new facility called the Ichikawa Ryutsu Center will focus mainly on disposal, sorting, and processing of goods. The building will be a five-story steel construction with the ground area of 2,578 sq. m. and the floor space of 8,033 sq. m. The total estimated cost is 2.1 billion yen.

The Ichikawa Butsuryu Center, on the other hand, has a capacity of 20,000 tons and is scheduled for completion in October this year.
